Next set of blocks
Sorry I missed the last meeting. Of the next 8 blocks assigned all of them can be drafted except 3. I would suggest paper piecing #110, #94 & #65.

Completed Blocks
Butterfly at the Crossroads is the last block needed to be completed. This one is not drafted and can be made using the rotary cutting instructions I gave at the last meeting. Then if you wanted, you could have done the bonus block that is easiest paper pieced. You will have 5 completed blocks, 6 if you do the bonus.
We will continue our assignment this evening at 5:45pm at the EG library. I'm going to increase the number of completed blocks just a bit since I have heard many had all their blocks done early.
Hope to see you tonight!

Week 3
Block #3 is the Whirlwind block.
You can draft this block to get the correct dimensions.
You will be adding squares to the rectangles to result in triangles.

Our Journey Begins!
After much talk about making this quilt, our group has decided to dive in. We will be meeting each month to offer help and support to all who want to join. The only requirement is that each participant needs to purchase their own copy of the book The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt by Laurie Aaron Hird. Our first meeting will be at the Eagle Grove library, January 23, 2012, at 5:45pm. Hope to see you there!
